The subject content at Key stage 3 is split into support, core, and depth, the pathway followed by students is based upon prior KS2 attainment and experience. The content covers similar topics in line with the national curriculum to ensure all students have the same opportunities. There is a combination of developing fluency and mathematical understanding in tandem to enable students to use their learning accurately, efficiently and flexibly, to reason mathematically and solve routine and non-routine problems. Working collaboratively, our scheme of learning is based on a 5-year progression model. Our scheme of learning ensures pupils make progress and are challenged in line with their individual starting points.
