Every member of our community deserves success

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Head of School of this unique, diverse and vibrant Academy.  At the Academy of St Francis of Assisi we pride ourselves on our strong vision of ‘Success for All’.  Every member of our community deserves success and it is our mission to ensure that everyone achieves it.

I feel deeply privileged to be the Head of School of an Academy which has an absolute commitment to its Christian values of Pride, Ambition, Respect, Peace, Reconciliation and Happiness.  Here at our Academy you can feel the passion and energy that radiates from us as we commit to ensuring that this is a thriving and harmonious environment in which to learn.

We encourage all our learners to aim high to fulfil their dreams and our goal is for all our students to be well rounded, confident and respectful individuals.  Our community spirit is strong, we learn from and value each other.  We strive at all times to achieve ‘Success for All’.

Our Values

Peace & Reconciliation

On our journey to become a Trauma Informed School we're visiting the Town Hall and our students are helping the process by defining what makes a safe school.

Our Year 10 students are having a great time at @TaylorWessingUK in the Albert Dock. It's brilliant to see an ex student inspiring our current students.

Day one of GCSEs done and dusted. Chaplain Phil has given each Year 11 student a little keepsake to help boost confidence and remind them we are always there for them.

Our Year 11 students have gathered for pre-exam spiritual reflection. With music and videos we celebrate the hard work and dedication of the students. We pray for them to be calm and prepared to fulfill their potential over the coming weeks.

Choppy waters meant our session with @merseyyouthrow was indoors today. The Year 8 rowers were put through their paces on the rowing machines instead! @asfahos
