Curriculum Intent
The intention of the Food Preparation, Cooking and Nutrition curriculum is to enrich pupil’s health and wellbeing through a love of food and cooking . At the Academy, we use food as a way of developing knowledge of cultural, moral, economic, environmental and health related issues. Through teaching our student’s practical cookery skills, we aim to instil a love of learning through what we consider to be one of the greatest expressions of human creativity.
