Students work on a carousel system with Design Technology, experiencing 12-week blocks of Food Preparation, Cooking and Nutrition in every year during KS3. In KS3, every other lesson is a practical activity, forming the foundations of cookery skills ( working with a variety of ingredients and equipment). In theory lessons, students learn about how to work with food safely, making healthy choices and about the provenance of the ingredients they are using.
