‘Impossible is Nothing’ was the key message during our maximise events this week and year 11 certainly stepped up to the mark to show just how committed they are to being the best they can be. The Maximize launch kicked off with a parent student evening attended by 110 families. This was an ideal session for parents and carers to learn just what’s expected in the run up to exams and how they can support their child in revision.
The following day students spent the morning in a carousel, delivered by our own expert teachers, to equip students with the key revision skills that deliver measurable results and exam ‘know-how’.
We also want to ensure students feel in control of their learning and the day was aimed to ensure students learned strategies to minimise stress.
One of the sessions, led by an external company Maximise, recognised for their delivery of high-impact study skills seminars to boost students’ confidence and resilience, was fantastic. Mr Maddocks said “Overall this was the best revision day I’ve seen. Year 11 were a credit to themselves, their teachers and their families.”
