Back in November Year 9 students worked on images of 5 years of LFC’s 125 year history the artwork, three students went to the unveiling.
A Liverpool historian started off proceedings with a potted history of the 125 years of the football club and explained about how the project worked with the 25 schools involved.
Students and staff were then given a talk from the Chair of the Hillsborough Families group, Margaret Aspinall. Our Academy’s five year section of the LFC history included the lowest point, the Hillsborough disaster and so hearing from Margaret was very poignant.
Everyone then went outside to see the artwork unveiled in it’s permanent home in the Kenny Dalglish Stand. Students then had their pictures taken with Margaret and our school was given a picture of the artwork which is now framed and up in school.
