Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome from the Head of School

posted in: News | 0

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself and welcome you to our website. My name is Tracey Greenough and I feel deeply privileged to be the Head of School at The Academy of St Francis of Assisi.  At St Francis of Assisi, we encourage all pupils to achieve success, to be self-motivated and to aim high in order to fulfil their dreams for a rewarding future career. Our main aim is to ensure that all students are well educated, well rounded, confident, secure, respectful and of smart appearance. We expect them to be the best they can be.

Here at St Francis of Assisi, students are at the heart of all that we do.  Each member of the community is unique and of ‘great value’ and we enjoy learning together in our Christian community. We are a joint foundation of the Anglican and Catholic Dioceses of Liverpool and we serve the wider communities of Kensington, Fairfield and Tuebrook.

In order that we reflect our mission, the core ethos of our community is based on the following Gospel values, which provide hope for all:

  • We are creating a caring community
  • We show compassion to all
  • We show respect for all creation
  • We work for peace and reconciliation

Ensuring that we are true to our values and living them out each day is a basic expectation and it has been key to creating a safe learning environment where our students and staff thrive, flourish and enjoy learning.

Finally, as you can probably sense, The Academy of St Francis of Assisi is my passion. I am deeply committed to this unique sustainable Academy and to making sure that each and every child in our community leaves us at the end of his or her Academy life with the very brightest of futures and the  happiest of school memories.

I hope you enjoy our website where you can learn more about the educational experience and opportunities offered by the Academy.

With very best wishes

Mrs T Greenough – Head of School
