Year 7 students will study

The core elements of number, algebra, geometry and measure, probability and statistics. The curriculum is designed to develop fluency, reasoning and problem solving skills in maths.    

Year 8 students will study

The core elements of number, algebra, geometry and measure, probability and statistics. The curriculum is designed to develop fluency, reasoning and problem solving skills in maths.

Year 9 students will study

The start of a three year GCSE course that covers; Number, Algebra, Ratio, proportion and rates of change, Geometry and measures, probability and statistics.

Year 10 students will study

Number, Algebra, Ratio, proportion and rates of change, Geometry and measures, probability and statistics in more depth with an emphasis on problem solving and reasoning.    

Year 11 students will study

Number, Algebra, Ratio, proportion and rates of change, Geometry and measures, probability and statistics in more depth with an emphasis on solving the specific GCSE questions.

You will be assessed by

The qualification consists of three equally-weighted written examination papers at either Foundation tier or Higher tier.

Extra-curricular opportunities

As well as popular booster sessions for year 11 we enter students in various competitions during the year such as the Maths Challenge and we have a team of numeracy ambassadors.
